About Puzzle # 127: 1964 Xi-an fire command car

Nobody had a clue last week of course. Oddballs is one thing. But chinese oddballs are even worse. Still we like to show these cars as they come up from a big blanc void in our automotive memory. Chinese car documentalist Erik van Ingen Schenau kept last weeks photos of the red car 30 years before he came eye to eye with a second example.

The find pictured above: a 1964 Xi-an fire command car.  Chassis and engine are Yuejin NJ130 (base for a 2,5 ton truck) by the Nanjing Auto Works.  The command car as depicted above was constructed in a small series by the Shanghai Zhendan Fire Equipment Works (established in 1932). Here's the catalogue for you to check. Sorry but we have no more information on this Xi-an. Any further information or photos with respect to the car will be greatly appreciated. If not by us, then at least by Erik van Ingen Schenau.
