At this early sixties scene we're facing the Porta S. Paolo in Rome, Italy. Looks like a quiet tourist scene. Nothing special, however... Not totally unexpected we see a lot of small Fiat cars. Three times a 500, four of the 600 and from left arriving from behind the pyramid possibly an early 850 which - if we are right - dates the postcard at 1964 or later. All the Fiats are white, or?
Yet in the very center of the scene, passing along or parked in front of the Piramide the Caio Cestio, interestingly we also spot a black American car. We think Cadillac. 1958 Eldorado Sedan perhaps? We can think of plenty reasons why it is there. But what's your view on all this?
