When Hot-Rodders dominated Ferrari

About fifty years ago Carroll Shelby created the Cobra, a true serpent that was to become a cult Anglo-American sports car. To mark the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary there will be a one-model race for Cobra’s at next year’s Goodwood Revival (14-16 September 2012). It is expected that this one-off race will feature an extraordinary mix of historically-significant competition Cobras, including some of the special-bodied aerodynamic Cobra-based coupés. It is likely that Carroll Shelby will be able to attend the 2012 Revival in person as well, although this is yet to be confirmed.
