When you visited the 1949 Paris Salon d'Automobiles you could have seen this fine interior in slightly better condition. Free yourself of the refined perfume and step back a little to enjoy the 1949 Talbot Lago T26 Coupe Sedanca as presented by Saoutchik. The rolling chassis was delivered to Saoutchik on 22 october 1948, and the first owner was a Mr. or Mrs.  Kurapka. After four years of negotiating Toby Ross from France was able to buy the car from the barn where it had been lingering for nearly 30 years: "After climbing over piles of packing cases, old tools and piles of wood, I could at last stand next to the car. The first thing that struck me was that it was smaller than I imagined. Not small of course, but certainly not as big as I was expecting. Standing next to the car allows appreciation of the flowing lines and finer details." Check the flowing lines of the rearwing with the hatter's head blocks on the side.
