Tough to Crack, Puzzle #109

Well, well, well not exactly a concours winner, but at least a runner! It's a small-purse coupe created by a large manufacturer of family cars.  It looks as if the designer got stuck somewhere halfway between a Daf 33 and a BMW 700 Coupe.  With this last car he has at least one engineering feature in common. The car is rare but if you Google a bit you get the impression the total production might have been slightly bigger than expected. We're most curious with what you may come up. And as usual, it's the nitty gritty facts which are not readily avaialable through the net which will give you an edge over other competitors with the same answer in terms of year, marque and type.
