Tough to Crack Car Puzzle #133

Before taking up this puzzle which was suggested by one of our honourable jury members we had never heard of the make. Still there are various famous names connected with the car from southern Europe. The car was presented at the Paris Show but never went into production. However... several of its engineering features - including the front wheel drive and engine concept - came back in a good selling well respected car that was presented in 1960. Over to you to fill in the blanks!  Tell us all you know about the car, starting with Year, Make & Type. Plus any relevant details as long as it's not more than 100 words.
