We come across intriguing photographs pretty often. But where a picture may say more than a thousand words to some, it's the words that make the picture to others. And the photograph seen above is a great example. Yes, it was taken on the scene of a road accident - one in the Switzerland of the 1960s. But it was a comment on the picture by a man named Peter Landan that made it a bit more special.
He wrote: "Arnold Odermatt was a police photographer in a small Swiss canton for more than 40 years. He often took two sets of photographs at the scenes of accidents: one standard shot for the police and one more artful photograph for his own collection. This one was taken in Obersdorf in 1964."
That makes this all far more interesting, doesn't it? Now, back to the actual accident. The VW bus and the roadster hit each other, or so it seems. But can you see what exactly happened? Oh, and is the car in front an MG Midget or an Austin-Healey Sprite?
