D + G Dienstleistungen GmbH is offering a wonderful collection of 15 motorcycles. The vehicles are being sold on behalf of the local authorities and range from the 1920s to the 1950s. It is already possible to bring out your bid, as the online auction is under way and will end 11 September 2021. Let’s take a closer look at the bikes on offer — it is also possible to buy the entire collection in one go.
The two oldest motorcycles in the online sale date from 1926 and 1927. Both are 550ccm BSA SVs. One of them shows only 288km on the clock. The 1930 Ariel Red Hunter on offer has reportedly not been used for 40 years. Like the 1938 Norton Inter and post-war AJS Racer, the last motor vehicle inspection was some time ago so it would be good to do a check-up before you take it out on the road.
One of the vehicles that is perhaps the most eye-catching is this red Harley-Davidson Pan Head with sidecar. Who would you ask to join you for a ride? Despite its older restoration, it looks in great condition. The other brightly coloured Harley on offer is a 1949 Hydra glide and comes with an old owner's manual. If you don't mind doing a bit of work, the 1950 BSA B33, 1950 Ariel KH 500 or 1952 Ariel Square Four might be worth looking at.
All bikes to be auctioned can be viewed in Switzerland (CH-8712 Stäfa) on 3 and 4 September.
