New Look for Škoda Museum

Škoda is one of the oldest marques still in business today. Václav Laurin and Václav Klement started the company making bicycles in 1895, completed their first automobile in 1905 and in 1925 their company was taken over by armaments manufacturer Škoda. From a company that old it is expected that they have an interest in their own history and it's good to hear that their museum has been completely renovated during the past few months. The new museum will be opened on November 26 and will feature three main themes: 'Tradition' with many different historic vehicles; 'Evolution' shows the L& K and Škoda automobiles in chronological order and last 'Production' which is all about restoration. The tour finishes in the appropriately named Václav-restaurant. The museum houses in an old Skoda factory building, just a stone's throw from the main works in Mladá Boleslav, some fifty kilometers north of Prague.
