Morse, from student to junior detective (Upd. 1965 prices)

Sorry to disappoint you, but this is not the forecourt of a second-hand cars salesman gone mad. It’s a scene from a soon to be released television program. Many of you will have recognized the 1960 Jaguar that starred in the famous ‘Inspector Morse’ TV-series (click the link to see more of the Jag and actor John Thaw). Based on the novels by Colin Dexter, it was an enormous popular series that ran for several years. As it’s almost 25 years ago that the first episode was aired, there will be a prequel to the series, that is set in 1965 and with actor Shaun Evans to play Morse as a junior detective who’s just dropped out of Oxford University and is investigating the disappearance of a schoolgirl. The ITV production can be seen on British TV-screens early next year. We can hardly wait!
