We're always intrigued who is the current owner of a car coming to the market. Especially whith cars that are far from being 'middle of the road'. Unless you have encounterd this RM based Roadster by Ramsay during one of it's many outings, you never have seen a Riley like this before. Although the basis is RM, it is quite a different piece of cake. Builder Dennis Ramsay invested two years of his life to create the Roadster that Riley should have built after the war. He used the good ingredients of Riley, the powerfull 2,5 litre and a 25 inch (!) shortened and much lightened chassis. He added Girling hydraulic brakes, moved the engine backward, lowered the original radiator shell and covered his concept with a slick looking full alloy bodywork. The result is a very quick motorcar with roadloving character. Now who would want a car like that? Current owner is well-known car afficionado, publicist/publisher and collector of supercars of all times, Karl Ludvigsen. He has enjoyed the car on many outings and continental rallies. Better don't talk with him, because he will make you buy the car. If you don't want to take his opinion for granted, ask Karl for a scan of the write-up of Mick Walsh or the feature story in last February's The Automobile. Like to have a chat with Karl, you can contact him by e-mail or phone through his ad.
