Jaguar Mk7 daily driver is a total Classic

Jaguar enthusiast David Bates went to Woburn Abbey recently where cars of his beloved marque had come together for a meeting, when he spotted this lovely 1952 Jaguar Mk7 in British Racing Green. The car looks as if it is well used but there’s something other than that, making it stand out.

Have a look at that number plate, perhaps through your eyelashes to conclude that it may well wear the ultimate classic car registration. CLA 551C is of course a classic! It's the car's real plate and not a show number.

There was a little note behind the wind screen, telling it has a few modifications – 15” wheels, front discs and power steering plus the wind screen of a Mk9 – and that is is regularly raced and used everyday. Oh, and that it is not for sale!

We wonder how often the owner was asked this question by eager registration dealers. What the number alone would be worth is anyone’s guess. We guess it could be quite a lot more than what a Jag Mk7 is considered to be worth today...
