Caption this: Lost the road, Claude?

If you hadn’t noticed the French-made number plate on this French car with its French yellow headlights, then we'd better tell you that the two gentleman inside this Renault are your everyday Frenchmen. Try to look French and you’ll end up looking like this.

The Renault 8S, launched in 1969 with a 60hp 1100cc engine, was perhaps not quite so cool as the Gordini variant, but it was still cool enough to remind your neighbours that you drove a car which enjoyed success in international rallying.

This is an official factory PR shot, but it may look more like a still from a Louis de Funès movie. What the hell are these guys thinking? It’s up to you to make that up, since this picture simply asks for a catchy caption!

------------------------------------------------
Tentative en Français :

- Quand je te dis "long gauche 120, ferme 80, tu n'as pas à aller à la ferme Claude !"
