Traditionally classic car owners impatiently await the summer to take their beloved machines outside. Unfortunately the summer weather has not been very kind over the last few years. For obvious reasons the effect of this is even worse for classic ice-cream vans. Yet reporter Francisco Carríon was able to spot several ones recently. Like the (n)ice BMC of the main photo, that usually is found near the National Art Gallery in the center of Edinburgh. In London on the riverside one can find a good number of classic vans dedicated to snacks and take-away food, the most beautiful of those is the 1950s Morris-Commercial of photos 3 and 4, which appears to have been subject of a recent quality paint job. The highly exotic 1970s Mini based Hustler six wheeler of photos 5 and 6 was designed by William Towns (designer of the Aston Martin Lagonda lines) and even during summer is suffering from poor climatologic conditions that perhaps will scare away customers, but for sure not the old car fans.
