Most handy to pick up before buying club badges at Beaulieu ( and wherever!) is a new book by RAC badge collector David Thomas:
David reports: “The A-Z Guide to Fake, Counterfeit and Replica Car Badges”. The purpose of this unique publication is to help buyers avoid the pitfalls of purchasing fake car badges which may be on sale at various autojumble events and online.  This has long been a problem experienced by both collectors and those new to the hobby.

Internally renowned badge collectors, such as Jan Särnesjö, (author of World of Car Badges and British Car badges);  Adrian Patterson the Australian author of around six books on car badges and John Fennell an international expert on car badges have all given written report to this book, Adrian remarking “that it is a book long overdue”.

Editor: the only thing worrying us, is that the fake manufacturers and distributors will learn from a book like this as well. You may remember PreWarCar's April Fools publication "The Truth about the Fakes" which was a fake itself.
