Everyone can paint!

We are big advocates for anything Do-It-Yourself when it comes to classic cars. You’ll know how it’s done, it will cost you less and it is fun. Some things, however, are not very obvious for DIY-jobs. Spray-painting a car is a particularly good example. That did not distract some Calfornian folks to come up with a Do-It-Yourself paint booth in the 1960s. And what better way to demonstrate it then with a pretty girl doing the job, seemingly with much ease? In a bikini.

What’s more: why not take the most expensive car available to make your point that applying a shiny new coat of paint is easy as apple pie? That’s a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud convertible, no less, and it won’t have been very old at the time as the model must have been in production still. Never mind the craftsmanship having gone into all those layers of paint applied by specialists in the UK. Never mind leaving all that brightwork on. Never mind masking off grille and headlights very quickly. Easy, like we said!
