Driving in Paris, France

One of the worst cities to be driving in must be Paris, France. Not only because of the terrible traffic congestions, but also finding a parking spot is difficult. And when you find one, don’t leave your handbrake on, as Parisians have a way of getting out of a parking spot by bumping away the cars in front and on the rear. Certainly no place to take your beloved classic. But there are exceptions! On January 8th 2012 you can take part in the ‘Traversée de Paris’, a 500+ vintage car parade along all the highlights of Paris: place de la République, Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre, place Vendôme, place de la Concorde, Champs-Elysées, place de l’Étoile, esplanade des Invalides, le Panthéon and the Notre-Dame… Even if you can’t take part you can still enjoy what’s going on (a must click!!!). This marvelous drawing was made by Thierry Dubois, a great artist whose website (although in French) is well worth a visit!
