DeLorean ladies too young? (UPDATE: Not Republic!)

You may believe the DeLorean DMC12 is too young to be featured on these pages, but we have at least three good reasons to show it to you today.

Firstly it was Saint Patrick’s Day yesterday, and with the DeLorean being one of very few cars built in the Republic of Ireland (a mistake that both Irishmen as UK taxpayers won't appreciate; we are no IRA-supporters; thank you readers) - it’s one that earns a little spot light here.

Secondly, John Z DeLorean passed away on March 19, 2005 – which is eleven years ago tomorrow. Another good reason to dish up his remarkable motoring life once more.

Last but not least this simply is a blooming gorgeous photograph showing cars and girls are always a fine combination. More DeLoreans and girls? Former DeLorean PA June McClinton dished up some tasty tales of her time at the Belfast motor manufacturer for The Irish Times last year, saying: “When I first saw John I thought, Oh, sweet God. He looked like a film star. I could see why Cristina – Ferrare, DeLorean’s third wife – married him.”
