Bob's pride: the Ford Anglia 105E 'Friary' Estate

Bob kent write with enthusiasm about his ultra rare Ford Anglia Estate:

"This is my 105E Anglia 'Friary' Estate, first purchased by a gentleman in Bracknell from 'Friary Motors Ltd' in Old Windsor, Berkshire in 1962. I bought it in 1988 from the then owner living in Cippenham, Nr Slough, and stored it in my garage for a few years until I restored it in 2010 -2013 when I re-registerd it for the road in July 2013.  I have taken it to many shows, and it always gets admiration as this is the only known 105E 'Friary' estate conversion on the road, and only one of three known in the country!  There was a limited amount of 105E Anglia Friary conversions carried out at Hatch, Nr Basingstoke, as were the Vauxhall PA Cresta's which were converted at the same time. The 105E was also converted at the Abbott works in Wrecclesham, Nr Farnham, but they retained the rear side windows to keep the cost of conversion down to £75 whereas the friary conversion with new larger rear side windows cost £89 12s 6d ! "
