Blankevoort Special to be resurrected

The first two of these pictures are of the 'Blankevoort Special' as published on page 26 of the book 'Autodesign in Nederland'; the other two are of the car as it is now. This racing special was built in 1954 by Dutchman Willem Blankevoort, initially using a prewar Lancia Augusta engine, which was later replaced by a MG TD unit.

The car made its appearance at the start of the sports car races at the Zandvoort circuit in the 1950s, but it was only recently that t was found back. More or less as a barn find and it is now subjected to a ground up restoration.

Not very much is known about the car, but perhaps there is somebody here who could contribute to the rebuild? Any picture or any kind of information would be much appreciated.

Probably me and my dad have the most information about this car willem blankevoort was the nephew of my ather and my father also helped hin with his cars, about the restoration I have already tried tracking this car down a few times but only ended up with dead leads on where or who it might have. This is the one car I would really like to get back going and would love to rebuild it with my dad. I think the last time i saw this car was over 15 years ago and is the one car to always stick in my head back then my dad did not have the space etc. Of rebuilding the car and had to pass it up :( but if we would get a shot at it right now we definatly would not let it go and get it out for the public
