An itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie…

Hoorah! The bikini is 70 years old this week. With the first of the scantiliest of dresses worn by Micheline Bernardini on July 5, 1946, who showed it off at the Piscine Molitor, carrying a 2x2x2 inches box where the thing actually fitted in. Oh – and its inventor was a bit of a car aficionado, too, commissioning Chapron to build this unlikely vehicle to give his bikini some promotion throughout his native France…

There are, of course, plenty of photographs with bikini-clad ladies draped over classic cars, but the overwhelming majority of them is no testament of good taste. Fortunately we did come across a New Zealand based company which is dedicated to girls in bikini. You can hire them to cheer up any party, and if requested they’ll bring over a classic car, too. Now’s the time, girls!
