Yanni Tobi informed us about the find 'he did' a few weeks ago. Yet Yanni is a kind realist and therefore didn't load the credits for this find on his own shoulders and says:
"They say 'behind every man there's a woman..'. Well I would say that behind every vintage car dealer there's a 'finder', the guy who deserves the real credits. The cars were found by my dear friend C. from Toulouse, who keeps his eyes and ears open for me at all times. He told me about this lot of cars some time ago, but it was never brought up again and I thought it to be another 'legend'. Until we met in Paris three weeks ago for other matters and he suddenly said to me that he now had the 4 cars outside his country home. The four classics were kept for years by an old Alfa Romeo enthusiast in a small village near Toulouse, who hoped to bring them back to life. They are quite rusty in the lower parts, floors and sills. However they seem to be unrestored and in rare original condition. Among the 4 there is a rare 1964 Giulietta 1300, which is the last version of the Giulietta, with different interior and dash board, similar to the Giulia 1600. The others are a 1959 Giulietta Sprint and two early 1962 Giulia 1600 Spiders."
Gems like these don't stay long. Probably they're sold already, but if you give a quick call to Yanni Tobi there is a small chance there's still something available... phone: +44(0)7557908093
