About Puzzle #143 1966/67 Brabham/BMW Formula 2

This proved to be a really tough one! Only one guess in the right direction. And one really good answer. Simon Thomas was correct in recognising the Brabham wheels. It was in 1966 that BMW bought a Brabham BT7 Formula 1 in order to apply the  M10 16 valve engine conversion developed by Apfelbeck. After a short failure in the 2 litre F1 format the car was entered in the Formula 2 in 1600 CC form (many photos if you scroll down at arthomobile.fr) .
We like to think this was a prelude of the later BMW Formula I  1500 cc turbo, also based on the 1961 M10 engine!  This weeks winner is Bernard Corrège:
"Brabham BT7 (ex formule 1 1500) à moteur 1600 BMW. Culasse à chambre radiale à admissions et échappements des deux cotés, dessinée par Ludwig Apfelbeck , réalisée pour la F2 en 1966/1967. Principe plus ou moins repris sur la Lancia Delta S4 gr B."
Not sure if you can fully understand his French, yet he ads an interesting line that the engine principle was reintroduced on the Lancia Delta S4 Group B. Apparently this car had also radial combustion chambers with inlet from two sides. And outlet from two sides. Next week another tough to crack racing car!
