The Porsche 928 GTS was the final, and some say ultimate, iteration of Porsche’s grand tourer. Famously intended to replace the venerable 911, the 928 ended up complementing the rear-engined model perfectly; with a mighty V8 engine under the bonnet, the 928’s 50:50 weight distribution endowed it with both power and sublime handling. While its size might have counted against it along tight, twisty lanes, nothing feels better in long, sweeping, high speed curves, especially behind the wheel of a GTS, where that deep front spoiler and huge rear wing help crush it into the tarmac. It’s an easy supercar to drive, too. The visibility from the driver’s seat is unparalleled, as are the ergonomics; the 928 can easily be used as a daily driver, dismissing the weekly Waitrose run with the same disdain as a 500 mile road trip.

Presented in its original and highly desirable Midnight Blue metallic over a beautifully preserved Classic Grey leather interior, this Porsche 928 GTS is exceptional. Sporting its original 17-inch Cup alloy wheels that are shod with a set of Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tyres. Among the rarest of all transaxle Porsches, the right hand drive 928 GTS equipped with the coveted five-speed manual gearbox represents the ultimate evolution of the model, with just 44 examples officially supplied to the UK. Specified well from new, this car was delivered with; sports seats with electrical height adjustment, a top tinted windscreen, sun roof, Grundig 5500 RDS stereo radio cassette player (replaced with a period Blaupunkt unit) and Marine Blue piping to the front and rear seats. This remarkably original example is accompanied by an outstanding history file, including its original service book, leather document wallet, driver's handbook, extensive service records, invoices, numerous MoT test certificates, factory toolkit, Porsche-fitted alarm system and importantly, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Significant investment further underlines its exceptional provenance, with over £8,500 spent by the previous custodian, a prolific German car collector, at marque specialist 928 Spares Ltd, followed by approximately £4,000 invested by the current owner with renowned Porsche expert Loe Banks Motors in 2025. Having covered just 3,000 miles under the current ownership, this beautifully maintained, manual GTS represents an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest surviving UK examples of a model now firmly established as one of Porsche's most collectible modern classics.
