No everyday sight: 1969 Jiefang

Erik van Ingen Schenau and Leo Sewald together are one of the competing teams in next October's Classic Car Challenge China. Leo is most selective in car collecting and owns no less than three different chinese built cars! The truck pictured above - the Jiefang CA10B - was several decades probably the most used type of car in China :
"The Jiefang is recently restored, is made in 1969. The Jiefang was the truck which was used to develop China, it was one of the pillars on which China became the country which it is now. This truck was exhibited at the Shenzhen-Macao Auto Show a couple of weeks ago."

For the rally however the team Sewald - Van Ingen Schenau will use a slightly more luxurious car: a Shanghai SH760 ! While we write the Shanghai is probably at the point of leaving the paint cabin after a fresh-up, so probably it will look quite different form this 'as found' photo. We'll keep you posted.
